1983
Started air conditioning business by becoming an air conditioner dealer and built the first factory on Lad Prao road,Bangkok.
The Establishment
In 1983, the Kritsanaviparkporn family began the air conditioning business by becoming a dealer of air conditioners, refrigeration units, spare parts and taking up the repairing. From the start, the business has gradually grown. The family then ventured into manufacturing air conditioners by establishing a factory to manufacture air conditioning parts and components for other customers.
After manufactured parts for other brands for some time, we introduced our brand, AMENA, to serve the domestic market. The demand was prospering, hence expanding across the overseas markets accordingly.

1987
Founded Laco Marketing Company Ltd. with a registered capital of Baht 5 million to sell air conditioners under own brand ,Amena, in the domestic market.
1995
Founded Unico Consumer Products Co.,Ltd.(UCP) with a registered capital of Baht 60 million to manufacture and distribute air conditioners to both the domestic and the export markets. Unico Consumer Products Co.,Ltd.,an Air Conditioner manufacturer, was awarded the first licence of the Board of Investment( BOI) for the first Phase of the Project to build an air conditioner manufacturing facility.
1997
Built a new factory with a 25,000 sq. metre floor area on a 20.48 hectare plot of land in Prachinburi having a production capacity of 250,000 units per year. Unico Consumer Products Co.,Ltd. increased the registered capital to Baht 150 million and in the same year was awarded the Prime Minister’s Export Award .
2000
Unico Consumer Products Co.,Ltd. was certified with an ISO 9002 by TÜV Rheinland for Quality Management.
2004
Unico Consumer Products Co.,Ltd. increased the registered capital to Baht 360 million and was awarded the Board of Investment(BOI) licence Project 2 and increased the production floor area to 37,500 sq. metres to cater for the production capacity of 350,000 units per year.
2006
Unico Consumer Products Co.,Ltd. built a new Head Office buildings in Minburi District, Bangkok, consisting 6 buildings accommodating 15,000 sq. metres of floor area for offices as well as Service Centre and warehouses. Laco Marketing Co.,Ltd., a sister company of Unico Consumer Products and the Domestic Distributor of Amena air conditioners, increased the registered capital to Baht 30 million to support the expansion of the local sales.
2009
Unico Consumer Products Co.,Ltd.was certified with an ISO 9001 for Quality Management System; ISO 14001 for Enviromental Management System; OHSAS 18001 for Occupational Health and Safety Management System.
2013
Certified Green Industry Level 3 Green Industry support from the Ministry of Industry
2015
Unico Consumer Products Co.,Ltd. was awarded the Investment licence for its third Project by the Board of Investment( BOI) to expand the production facility to 63,500 sq. metres to support the production capacity of 467,000 units per annum and this was completed in 2017.
2017
Unico Cosumer Products Air conditioning Testing Laboratory was certified ISO/IEC 17025 by the Thai Industrial Standards Institute(TISI) and also awarded the Thai-Labour Standard : TLS 8001 by the Department of Labour Protection and Welfare, Ministry of Labour.
