Manufacturing Process
The factory of Unico Consumer Products is one of the most advanced air conditioning factories in Thailand equipped with modern machinery and using modern technology dedicated for air conditioner production focusing on the complete process in order to be able to effectively control the quality of the products in all stages from beginning to end. This results in the high quality and reliable products appreciated by the most discerning customers.
Plastic Parts
At Unico we are self-sufficient in plastic parts supply as we are a professional plastic part injectors ourselves. We have 20 high quality plastic injection machines of different sizes and capacities catering to all air conditioner plastic parts requirement. Our biggest injection machine has 1,600 ton of injection pressure being able to inject the largest possible plastic pieces for big size air conditioners. The production of all plastic parts are under the control of our skilled and experienced supervisors .As the result, all parts are well inspected guaranteeing high quality.
Heat Exchanger
Again, we are also able to manufacture heat exchangers in house employing modern machinery and state-0f the –art machinery for the US. Every single piece of heat exchanger is to undergo high pressure test to ensure it withstands the standard pressure test and that it has no leakage before it is passed on for assembly.
Metal Parts
All the metal parts that are assembled into air conditioners are made in-house from a high quality material ,namely, Electro-galvanized steel that is rust-free. The metal sheet is formed into shapes according to designs by a computerized CNC machines ensuring the parts thus made are precisely formed before being passed on for painting. The painting process is done by an Electrostatic Powder Coating machine ensuring smooth and fine finish.. There are 4 painting booths that can do 4 colours at the same time.
Assembly
Once all parts are ready they are transferred to the assembly lines where conveyors take over and carry them to different assembly stations . The parts have to travel on a 250- metre long conveyor until the product is fully assembled , undergoes safety test and performance test to ensure all units pass all the standards set and then boxed . There are 6 assembly lines ,3 for the outdoor units and the other 3 for the indoor units.
